From the moment it opened, DPAC redefined the artistic and physical landscape of the American Tobacco Campus and Downtown Durham. Durham Performing Arts Center continues to fulfill the mission of serving diverse regional audiences in Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and beyond. DPAC features 2,700 seats in a 100,000 square foot venue specifically designed to host the largest direct-from New York Nederlander present SunTrust Broadway shows plus numerous additional concerts, comedy and special events. DPAC continues to be praised for its extraordinary architecture and acoustics.
