Accessibility Information

Guests with Disabilities

The Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) is dedicated to world-class hospitality and we take care that our events, services and facilities are accessible to all guests.

Important Information

Courtesy Shuttle

For guests with mobility impairments or guests uncomfortable walking from our nearby parking areas, DPAC has a new expanded Courtesy Shuttle from the American Tobacco North Deck. This improved service now brings the Shuttle right into the North Deck, minimizing walking for those that are uncomfortable with the distance from this parking area to DPAC.

When you arrive at the North Parking Deck, look for special DPAC logo signs with a Handicap Symbol directing you to the new reserved parking area on the west side of the ground floor. Once parked, look for the Shuttle Pick-up signs and benches. Our Courtesy Shuttle will bring you close to the entrance of DPAC and will return you to the North Parking Deck after the show. The Courtesy Shuttle runs every ten minutes.

Please note:

• This service is not designed for guests that use a wheelchair. For parking information for guests who use a wheelchair please email us at: customerservice@dpacnc.com
• Handicap parking in the East Deck and on the service road to the side of DPAC has been greatly reduced due to the construction of the new Aloft Hotel. In addition, the pedestrian route from the East deck to DPAC is now significantly longer. DPAC strongly recommends parking in the North Deck and using our Courtesy Shuttle if you or your guests are uncomfortable walking distances greater than 2/10 of a mile (about 2 to 3 city blocks).
• The American Tobacco North Deck is located at 305 West Pettigrew Street, Durham, NC 27701
• For more information you can contact us at: GuestServices@dpacnc.com
