The Paul Taylor Dance Company, established in 1954, is one of the world's most highly respected and sought-after ensembles. Artistic Director Paul Taylor is considered by many to be America’s greatest living choreographer—a founder and towering icon of modern dance. This season’s program consists of Mercuric Tidings, described by New York Post’s Clive Barnes as “Danced for the sheer joy of it, the controlled expenditure of animal energy, poetry expressed as a time and motion of study, young people cavorting with the kinetic propensities of young godlets.” Additionally, the company will present the timeless, romantic masterpiece Roses and a newly commissioned work by another choreographer for the company.
