Mexican acoustic rock maestros Rodrigo y Gabriela are set to continue their triumphant US tour, as they celebrate the tenth anniversary re-release of their classic self-titled break-out album. They will bring their innovative and explosive performance to DPAC on November 19, 2017. Marc Scibilia will open the show.
Originally released in Ireland in 2006, the album topped the charts ahead of Johnny Cash and the Arctic Monkeys, and a US release on ATO Records followed in 2007. “Rodrigo y Gabriela” was produced by Rodrigo and Gabriela with John Leckie, best known for his work with Radiohead and The Stone Roses. Affectionately known to fans as “the Crocodile album”, the record has gone on to sell 750,000 copies worldwide.
The global success of the album, together with endless touring, established Rod & Gab as one of the most popular acoustic instrumental artists in the world, with a string of sold out tours of America, UK, France and Japan, including multiple nights at the Royal Albert Hall, Hammersmith Apollo, Le Zenith (France), Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall (NYC) and the Hollywood Bowl.
Speaking of the Rodrigo y Gabriela album Rodrigo said, "We are busy at work on our new record, but looking back at this album, it's good to be reminded of how far we've come in ten years". While on the release of the Live At The Olympia concert Gabriela added, "we had some crazy times in Ireland, and made many great friends there. The fans are so passionate about music, this is a thank you to them and our time in Dublin".
In 2016 alone, Rodrigo y Gabriela played in 25 countries around the world, including their debut tour of South America. The re-release of “Rodrigo y Gabriela” includes the newly remastered album, plus two bonus tracks, plus a live album and DVD recorded at The Olympia Theatre in Dublin in 2006.

Currently, this event has not approved using our video screens. Please feel free to check back closer to the event for updates. If approved, we will post notice here.
For many concert, comedy, and special events at DPAC, we offer added views of the stage with two big screens (size: 16’ x 9’) hung to the sides of the stage or above the stage. These big screens can add to the visual experience of our concert, comedy, and special events and give guests seated farther from the stage what we like to call “a tenth row view”. Approval to use these screens always rests with the visiting show and about half of all concert and comedy events do use these screens.
All performances scheduled at DPAC normally take place as planned. For more information on our inclement weather policy, please visit INCLEMENT WEATHER FAQ.
