DPAC Safe and Clean Commitment
As DPAC looks forward to reopening, the health and safety of our Community is our highest priority.
DPAC has been closely monitoring recommended best practices and new requirements from the experts at important public health agencies including:
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS)
- Durham County Department of Public Health (DCDPH)
With this guidance from national, state and local health officials, we are implementing additional guidelines and procedures for sanitation and cleaning as well as building modifications, new equipment, and changes in how we’ll host our events. When complete, we will be documenting hundreds of specific initiatives that we are undertaking as we plan for the future.
Our DPAC Safe and Clean Commitment was designed to enhance safety and minimize risk for our Guests, the Cast, Crew, Musicians and Performers from the many events and shows we host, along with each one of the valued members of our team here at DPAC.
This commitment ensures the hygiene and sanitation practices of our Center will continue to deliver on our rigorous standards, plus expand to meet or exceed the new regulatory requirements and new cleanliness protocols as recommended by the CDC.
These protocols are based on the most current information available on sanitization and cleanliness for live entertainment venues as well as other hospitality / tourism businesses. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor guidelines from the CDC, NCDHHS, and DCDPH, for the latest public health innovations so that we are continually updating these procedures.
This DPAC Safe and Clean Commitment covers all the Entry Areas, Lobbies, Restrooms, Seating Areas, Ticket Center, Stage & Backstage, Food and Beverage preparation and sales areas, President’s Club and the Administrative offices at DPAC.
