“Loretta Lynn has blazed a trail for women in music, not just country music,” said Bob Klaus, GM of DPAC. “And she hasn’t stood still, partnering recently with Jack White of the White Stripes, bringing rootsy country/gospel/blues to an entirely new rock generation. DPAC is the perfect venue for her- a multi-generational audience will not only see and hear her; Durham concert-goers will truly feel her performance.”

The Coal Miner’s Daughter- refers to a hit single, an album, a best-selling autobiography, an Oscar-winning film, and to Lynn herself. Lynn has written over 160 songs and released 70 albums.
