Johnson Lexus to be Name-In-Title Sponsor of DPAC’s President’s Club
DPAC formally announced today that Johnson Lexus has stepped into the role as title sponsor of the President's Club program for the next three seasons. Titled the Johnson Lexus President’s Club, membership benefits include season tickets in the first ten rows of the orchestra plus special ‘members only’ amenities. With almost 1,000 members, member support from this program has helped maintain DPAC’s excellence every season. The new partnership comes at the start of SunTrust Broadway at DPAC’s, 2015 / 2016 season which opened last week with Beautiful – The Carole King Musical.
“With a combined vision of exceptional quality, DPAC, Lexus and the Johnson Lexus President’s Club are poised for fantastic future,” said DPAC General Manager, Bob Klaus.
“As a locally owned and operated business, we are honored to partner with DPAC and the City of Durham to present an unforgettable theater experience to all Johnson Lexus President’s Club members. With our guests' appreciation of the arts, we find this sponsorship a perfect fit to their lifestyles,” said David Johnson of Johnson Lexus.
This announcement coincides with the completion of an important DPAC expansion including new public restrooms in DPAC’s main orchestra lobby and a new hospitality area, home to the Johnson Lexus President’s Club program.
Bob Klaus added; “After two years of anticipation and construction our new expansion is open. Our hats are off to the American Tobacco Campus and Capitol Broadcasting for making space in the new Aloft Hotel building for this important expansion. The new restrooms increase DPAC women’s restroom capacity by 33% and our new hospitality area for Johnson Lexus President’s Club members has doubled in size. It’s a credit to the City of Durham for their continued investment in making DPAC better every year.”
An opening reception in the expanded space was held at DPAC on October 5 that included staff, elected officials from the City of Durham, Johnson Lexus and DPAC.
