Jo Koy at DPAC

Jo Koy’s visit to DPAC was something completely different from what I expected of the typical stand of comic. Koy expertly worked his way through the show mostly through improvisational jokes and interactive segments with the audience. He spent the first half hour or so making hilarious bits up on the spot just from using one fact about someone in the front row. This led to a spectacular show that had constant involvement from the audience, making the whole show much more personal and enjoyable. Koy’s work had something for everyone, stories of fatherhood, wild teenage parties, family stories, and expression of the many cultures there in the crowd.  Jo Koy is an expert comic who carried the show by making everyone feel like they were involved and giving everyone the joy of laughter.
