Performing Arts Showstoppers at DPAC
Announcing Soon: 2026 / 2027 Performing Arts Showstoppers
This September, DPAC will introduce sixty of our area's most friendly and outgoing high school students selected to volunteer as Showstoppers during the 2026 / 2027 season. The inspiration for this program comes from the Durham Wayfinders at DPAC, a City of Durham volunteer program where members share their time and talents in the spirit of helping everyone feel welcome at DPAC. Performing Arts Showstoppers at DPAC welcome guests as they arrive at Broadway and other select events all season long, and in exchange, they are invited to stay and enjoy the performance from fabulous Orchestra-level seats.
The deadline for applications was Monday, August 3 at 11:59 PM, and in-person interviews were conducted between August 10 and August 14, 2026. DPAC is currently reviewing applications, and all applicants will be contacted by August 24, 2026 with results. This program offers great flexibility scheduling-wise, but any interested candidates should note that selected students will be asked to attend a mandatory Training & Orientation event on the evening of September 8, 2026.
