About DPAC's Performing Arts Showstoppers
This City of Durham community program is organized and managed by DPAC for Triangle area high school students who both love smiling and saying hello AND seeing Broadway at DPAC’s biggest shows, plus occasional concert events.
Throughout the season, Showstoppers welcome guests at the main entry doors with genuine and kind greetings as they arrive at DPAC for the very biggest shows on tour.
The Showstopper program offers students the following:
- Volunteer service hours for college bound applications and resumes.
- Excellent customer service experience at one of the top-five performing arts centers in America.
- Access to experience Broadway at DPAC’s hit Broadway shows and some incredible concert events.
- Plus, peer social gatherings with likeminded fans of the performing arts.
The inspiration for this program comes from the Durham Wayfinders at DPAC, a City of Durham volunteer program where members share their time and talents in the spirit of helping everyone feel welcome at DPAC.
