The Allman Family Revival: A Night of Musical Passion and Energy

By: Lilian Guglielmo

The Allman Family Revival Band delivered an electric performance at the DPAC last night, keeping audiences on their feet and fully engaged in the music and visuals. A tribute to the musical career and influence of Greg Allman, the show featured a variety of folk, rock, and blues musicians and their renditions of both his and original songs.

Opening the concert, Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton executed a fiery performance complete with tight vocals and powerful guitar. The pair was talented and versatile, and their ability to nail songs from both rock and folk genres was extraordinary.

Following its excellent opener, the show officially began. Instantly, rich, soulful guitar flooded the theater, creating a delightful audience experience regardless of one's knowledge of the Allman Brothers Band. Overall, I felt this show was an incredible testament to the legacy of Greg Allman; it was beyond enjoyable spending the evening celebrating his career and those of uprising artists.
