Jagged Little Pill Ambassador Vlog

I'm Sydney Patterson, and I had the great pleasure of seeing Jagged Little Pill on opening night! Before the show I was able to work at the elevators. That means you press the buttons in the elevator and help the guests get to the right floor. I got to chat with the guests and the volunteer I was paired with. My favorite part of being an ambassador is getting to talk to the guests. There are always so many cool people coming through the DPAC! Everyone was super nice. Before the show I was released and headed to my seat with the other ambassadors.

The show absolutely blew me away. It has to be one of my favorite musicals I’ve ever seen.  I loved the way it addressed so many pertinent social issues. It was really thought provoking and beautiful. I wasn’t very familiar with Alanis Morissette music, so it was even more of a joy to hear people sing it so beautifully. The ensemble was so wonderful and grounded in their characters on stage. 

 

Heidi Blickenstaff played the character Mary Jane to absolute perfection. She was such a great story teller. Not to mention she had INCREDIBLE vocals! One of my favorite parts of the show was a song she sang called “Smiling.” 

 

I really loved the show, and I had a great experience working at the DPAC (as usual). Thank you to the DPAC for letting me see this great show!
