Les Misérables Ambassador Blog

I dreamed a dream to see Les Miserables at DPAC and I guess that dream came true. Last night I had the privilege of seeing this incredible tragedy. Before the show I worked passing out playbills and directing people to their seats. It was a blast getting to see all the people coming to the show.

After my task was complete, I headed to my seats to Look Down at the stage. Did we hear the people sing? Absolutely! The cast was extremely talented and their vocal range was exquisite. Amazingly this three-hour show flew by. Who am I and Bring Him Home were definitely my favorite parts of the show. The vocal talent in those songs was spectacular. In the midst of this epic revolution drama, the song Master of the House lightened the mood causing the whole audience to laugh.

Les Misérables presents a vast panorama of Parisian society and its underworld, and it contains many famous historical references, among them being the Battle of Waterloo and the description of Valjean’s rescue of Marius by means of a flight through the sewers of Paris. This show is definitely one to see either On your Own or in a group.
