Importance of Guest Services and Dancing with the Stars Live!

Today at Dancing With the Stars Tour at DPAC I had the opportunity to shadow Norma at Guest Services, and it was an amazing experience. She taught me a lot about how Guest Services operates and where everything is located in the room. I learned that Guest Services handles many important responsibilities, including assisting guests, managing lost and found, and even holding coats for audience members who don’t want to carry them during the show. They also provide first aid kits if someone needs medical assistance and offer assistive listening headphones to help audience members hear the show more clearly.
One thing that surprised me was learning about the process for reviewing posters or signs brought into the theater. If someone brings in a poster and it appears in the audience during a show, security collects it and brings it to Guest Services to be reviewed. I thought that was really interesting because I didn’t realize how much coordination happens behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

After learning about Guest Services, I also got the chance to watch Dancing with the Stars. It was an amazing show! The performers showed incredible choreography and talent on stage. One of my favorite parts was when they brought someone from the audience onto the stage, which made the experience even more exciting and interactive.
I really enjoyed this opportunity. Shadowing Guest Services helped me learn how much work goes on behind the scenes to make sure guests have a great experience, and watching Dancing with the Stars made the event even more memorable.
