Steve Martin and Martin Short Legendary Golden Ticket

This past Saturday, I had the honor of being a DPAC Ambassador to shadow the ticketing booth at one of the showings of Steve Martin and Martin Short.

When I checked in, I was able to meet my other ambassador, who was shadowing ticketing, Corra.

After our pre-show meeting, we headed down to the ticketing booth to learn how to work will-call. People would come in waves, so it would go from complete silence to everyone working to assist as many people as possible. I found it incredible how quickly the ticketing staff was able to help everyone. They were helping people access tickets through what felt like magic.

After shadowing, I went to claim my pretzel and met up with the other ambassadors. Soon enough, it was show time!

The show started with a montage of clips over the years with both Steve Martin and Martin Short. You could really tell that these two comedy legends meant so much to the audience.

I found it very interesting the variety of performances they presented. There was a very talented pianist who would occasionally walk on. But I think my favorite part would have to be how about an hour into the show, Steve Martin and the rest of his band started playing their songs for a good 25 minutes.

It was crazy to see the incredible talent of these two, and I thought their performance was great. It was an absolute honor to shadow the ticketing staff. I have a newfound appreciation for the work that goes on in the ticket booth.
