Good Moon Festival: An Amazing Night Of Unity
Blog By: Lucas Berry
Good moon festival night one was incredible! The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd was alive, and the music was great to hear! In this blog, I will tell you all about my experience at DPAC through an Ambassadors eyes during night one of Good Moon Festival!
To start this blog off, I would like to share some insight to my experience shadowing the Ticketing Department of DPAC! After the pre show meeting, I was taken to the ticket booth and was introduced to Amy. Amy then explained to me a little bit about the branch, and took me inside the ticket booth to be introduced to the people working that day. I then got handed over to Peter, a very important person in the space! I learned from Peter how much data and planning was involved in the world of ticketing. It is one of if not the most important areas in DPAC. The workload never stops for ticketing, but it is so integral in making a wonderful guest experience!

Now that you have heard my experience, you might wonder, what makes Good Moon a festival? Good Moon is a festival because of how it brings people together. As a young man who is so passionate about music, what I saw during my experience wasn’t just another concert, it was a crowd of 1,000+ people who brung families and friends to have a great time and dance, sing, and enjoy the show together! It was a beautiful sight to see how much we can all be united with the power of music. The artist lineup for the night was amazing as well! The great music of Meshell Ndegeocello kicked off the night with a great opening set (and she made a new fan out of it as well!) and Sylvan Esso made the crowd light up with her energetic performance and great crowd work! Overall, this was a great night to kick off the show!

As I wrap this blog up, I would like to say that Good Moon Festival was a fantastic show and kept me engaged throughout! I was introduced to so many great songs and I felt alive during the whole thing. I can confidently say I have never seen a crowd so united by music in my entire life. The one thing I would take away from this experience is to never underestimate the power of music, because music itself brings unity, and this festival proves that.
