DPAC is dedicated to world-class hospitality, and we take care that our events, services and facilities are accessible to all guests. View Courtesy Shuttle Map.

Important Information

Courtesy Shuttle

Due to construction in the American Tobacco (ATC) North Parking Deck, DPAC’s recommended accessible parking area has moved to ATC’s East Parking Deck directly adjacent to DPAC (250 South Mangum Street.) This means that DPAC’s Courtesy Shuttle will also be moving and is no longer running from the North Deck.

For guests with mobility impairments or for guests who are uncomfortable walking from our nearby parking areas, this move brings accessible parking and the Courtesy Shuttle closer to DPAC. This newly designated section of the East Parking Deck has almost 100 dedicated parking spaces on the second level for our guests with state issued handicap placards.

Guests who wish to use the East Deck Courtesy Shuttle should request second-level parking from the parking attendant in the East Deck. Once parked, take the elevator down and follow signs to the Shuttle Stop. View Courtesy Shuttle Map here.

Please note:

• This service is not designed for guests that use a wheelchair. For parking information for guests who use a wheelchair please email us at: [email protected]
• DPAC recommends parking in the East Deck and using our Courtesy Shuttle if you or your guests are uncomfortable walking distances greater than 2/10 of a mile (about 2 to 3 city blocks).
• The American Tobacco East Deck is located at 250 South Mangum Street, Durham, NC 27701

Parking

DPAC is located in the American Tobacco Historic District in Downtown Durham. This downtown setting offers many parking options and as is common in an urban setting, parking lots and decks are dispersed throughout the downtown area. All parking areas include accessible parking and most are just minutes (1 to 3 blocks) from the front doors of DPAC. Guests are always welcome to drop-off and pick-up guests directly at the front doors of DPAC at 123 Vivian Street. For guests desiring to park as close as possible to DPAC, we recommend these options:

American Tobacco East Deck

  • 250 South Mangum Street, Durham, NC 27701

  • $5 per car (Cash and Credit Cards accepted)

For guests with mobility impairments or guests uncomfortable walking from our nearby parking areas, DPAC has a new expanded Courtesy Shuttle from the American Tobacco East Deck. This move brings the Courtesy Shuttle closer to DPAC, along with more than 90 dedicated parking spaces for guests with handicap placcards. Guests who wish to park near the Courtesy Shuttle or require accessible parking should request second-level parking from the parking attendant in the East Deck. View Courtesy Shuttle Map here.

When you arrive at the East Parking Deck, look for special DPAC logo signs with a Handicap Symbol directing you to the new reserved parking area on the second floor of the deck. Once parked, take the elevator down to the Shuttle Stop where there are benches to sit on while you wait. Our Courtesy Shuttle will bring you close to the entrance of DPAC and will return you to the East Parking Deck after the show.
