Heart of the Arts

Community

The arts have a tremendous power to bring communities together through shared experiences. At DPAC, we are proud to contribute to our community, not only by offering a diverse calendar of events each season, but also through educational and youth driven programming, charitable contributions, and affordable ticket initiatives.

Since 2008, DPAC’s community engagement initiatives, known as “Heart of the Arts”, have been offering exciting opportunities for communities in Durham and beyond.

Discover Broadway

Here at DPAC, we believe that every person should have the chance to see real people perform on a stage and experience the magic of live musical theater. For those that we serve through these programs, these opportunities are more than just a ticket, they’re a chance to experience something that could inspire goals and dreams for the future. Season Seat Members are encouraged to donate their seats that will otherwise go unused. These tickets are offered to students in Durham Public Schools, Durham Technical Community College and North Carolina Central University.
